BoRhap
BoRhap was formed as an ensemble from the Capitaland Chorus music team in order to learn and perform Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on our annual chorus show. The group purchased the arrangement from Lorraine Rochefort of Sweet Adelines International, and expanded it to include the "guitar solo."
In the fall of 2007, a portion of the group, pictured above, earned first place honors in Sweet Adelines Region 16's annual octet contest, singing TheTwelve Days After Christmas and Bohemian Rhapsody.
On a whim, six members of the group recorded a video of the song after chorus rehearsal one evening. We submitted it to the Boyz II Men A Cappella Quest and promptly forgot all about it, until we were notified that we were among the top 5 finalists in the contest! The CBS Morning Show aired a portion of our clip, along with the other four finalists. We were not selected as the winners, but were excited to make the top five!!
